Brandon's Law
Working alongside Annette and Brian Swanson, parents of Brandon Swanson, state legislators, and Minnesota law enforcement leaders, JFF successfully drove legislation in 2009 in Minnesota to replace our outdated “Missing Children’s Act” to provide much needed legal protection for missing adults. (People over 18 years old.)
The new law, signed by Minnesota‘s Governor on July 1, 2009, requires Minnesota law enforcement to report and investigate (“without delay”) the disappearance of any person over 18 years of age.
